Privacy Policy

When you use our app our servers get notified when you cross any geofence that we have registered on your phone. The geofences that we register on your phone are based on the city you register with. So for example, if you choose Philadelphia, we will register geofences for all the bars you see on our app. We do not put geofences anywhere other than city bars. Once you enter a geofence your phone will start to track your precise location. This may sound scary, but we need this data to calculate if you are within the bounds of the bars. Your precise location coordinates are never shared with the server or stored. The only sensitive data we store about users are their indentifier when they enter a bar. We do this to maintain accuracy to avoid duplicate incrementing/decrementing of the crowds and, in the same vain, if our servers go down and we need to look at the current state of crowds before our servers went down. This indentifier that is stored is encrypted with AES-256 and all data is always transfered via TLS. Once you have exited a geofence, we stop tracking your precise location.

None of your data is sold or given to 3rd parties nor can anyone track you. No one, including Skedaddle, can see where you are at any point of the day. We only count how many people are in bars, not track your every movement.

We will always notify users when this policy is updated.
